The defective iPhone 8 were sold between September 2017 and March 2018 – the first six months it was on the market – in eight regions: USA, Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macao and New Zealand.
According to Apple, the upper variant of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus was not affected, nor other models of the iPhones are affected.
